Alexander Mooi is the founding father of IKBENMOOI. Trained as an architect at the TU Delft, Alexander Mooi uses this small company as a expression for all his fascinations: architecture, design, architectural tours and all the different manifestations of these. A short impression of his varying projects may be found on this website.
During his studies Alexander Mooi specialised in Technology in Sustainable Development for which he was granted a special appendix to his title. His final project and thesis was a self proposed scheme for developing affordable housing combined with tourist accommodation, as part of the Explore Lab programme at the TU Delft. Previously, he worked as an student assistant for the Sustainable Development Chair at the Faculty of Architecture. Already during his studies he founded his own company IKBENMOOI in 2012, and continued to work for various firms as a freelance designer. Since then he has organised many specialist tours for foreign architects and institutions, and has taught among others Bachelor students at the TU Delft. He is a father of two and lives with his family and dog in the centre of Amsterdam.
